New Year MCAL 2018
Find the mcal on Ravelry here - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/new-year-mcal-2018
Let’s start the New Year making a cute ami! For this mcal you will be crocheting an animal,
but you won’t know what animal until the end of the mystery. Your finished animal will
measure about 8 inches if you are using worsted weight yarn. The kind of yarn, size of
crochet hook, and tension while crocheting will vary the size of your animal.

It is finally time to assemble your animal!
Step 1 ~ With your yarn needle, sew the remaining hole
of the head/body piece closed.
Step 2 ~ Sew the muzzle piece onto the bottom part of the head. About Rnds 12-18 of the head.
Step 3 ~ Sew the arms onto the sides of the
body, at about Rnd 22.
Step 4 ~ Sew the legs onto the bottom of the body, pointing away from the face.
Step 5 ~ Sew the ears onto the top, sides, of the head. At about Rnds 5-8.
Step 6 ~ Sew the tail on to the bottom, back of the
body. At about Rnds 30-32.
Step 7 ~ You only need to do this step if you
have not inserted eyes yet. First find the right
placement of your eyes, then using a hot glue
gun, put a little glue onto the hole that you want
to insert the eye into. Insert the eye quickly and
press in firmly, and be careful not to burn yourself
on the hot glue!
Step 8 ~ With the yarn color of your choice and your yarn needle, embroider your kitty a nose. To see how I make my animal noses you can see a photo tutorial on my blog, link is below. http://melissascrochetpatterns.blogspot.com/2013/06/how-i-embroider-animal-noses-and-mouths.html.
